I had wanted to do this post to celebrate one of my favorite holidays, Halloween. I don't have a lot to celebrate right now. My computer died last night. I'm using my cousin's computer to write this message. I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm going to see if my laptop can be fixed inexpensively. If not, I'm going to have to get a new one before I start back in college the first of the year. I really didn't need this new expense. I'm not going to be able to be online much right now since I don't have my own computer. I'm going to have to take a break from the blogging world. This will be my last post for right now. I'm not going to be able to check out your blogs either for awhile. I'm so sorry about everything. I'll miss you guys so much. I'm hoping to be back as soon as I can. Take care. I wish you all the best.

These images are from the Jess Franco film Eugenie de Sade. This early 70's film starred the late actress Soledad Miranda. Soledad was born in Spain to Portuguese parents. She starred in quite a few films for Franco before her untimely death at the young age of 27. This particular film is about a young woman who begins a love affair with her stepfather, an erotic writer, played by Paul Muller. This affair leads them to commit murder. It's actually one of my favorite films by Jess Franco. Enjoy these photos of the stunning Soledad Miranda. She is still sorely missed by so many of us.

Did anybody see the movie The Runaways? I saw it not that long ago on DVD. I thought this was a perfect time to post some videos from that movie.

P.S. I know it's been awhile since I've blogged. I've been tied up with getting things sorted out for going back to college. I did want to get a new post up here. Thursday & Friday I will go around to your blogs to leave some comments for those you've left on my last couple of posts. I wanted to let you guys know the good news. I took the math placement tests for college this morning. I scored high enough that I can go into Math 80, which is basically Introduction to Algebra. That's the last course right before College Algebra. It's actually the class I was hoping to get into. I'm no math whiz at all. I didn't do great in math years ago. I actually surprised myself that I did as well today as I did. I was nervous that I would end up in more of a remedial math class. I wanted to get into this particular course because it would be a great way to learn more about the subject material before getting into the harder course. That way maybe it might not be as much of a struggle now. Early registration for the next semester is on November 3rd. Classes will start in January. I had wanted to let you guys know. I'm so happy and thrilled. I know I've got a long road ahead of me, but today was a big weight off my chest. Thanks for all your support. I appreciate it.

I don't know about you, but I totally adore Lara Stone. I think she's so beautiful. I really love this incredibly gorgeous and stylish editorial of her in the September issue of Vogue. P.S. I wanted to keep you guys updated with what's going on in my life. I went yesterday to my local community college. I am going back to school this upcoming spring semester. I will be a returning student since I went to this particular school years ago. Quite a few of the courses I once took still count and will transfer so I won't have to retake them. I do have to take the math placement test. I'm not looking forward to that. I was never good in math at all. I hate to think of how much I've forgotten now. I'm taking it in a couple of weeks. The first of November is early registration for the next semester. I did quality for financial aid so my tuition and books will be covered. I'm both scared and excited. I never thought I would be going back to college again. I do know that I've always regretted that I never finished before. I've never been able to get that great of jobs due to only having a high school diploma. I know that I need to further my education, especially with the current economic climate in this country. It's the best thing I do. I do feel weird going back at age 40. I know that many of the students are young enough to be my children. I've got the will and drive to make it work. It has to work. There aren't a lot of options otherwise. I do ask that you would continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I appreciate it. Thanks.

I'm not quite sure yet what I'm going to do. I am putting in some job applications. I'm also seeking out some short term work even if I can't find anything more substantial. I'm really considering going back to college. One of the biggest regrets of my life is that I never finished college. I know that's been the main reason in my life why I've gone from one dead end job to another. It's time for a change in my life. I'm almost 40 years old. I can't keep on going on like this. I'm seriously considering going back to college to further my education. I believe that's the best thing for me to do. Learning How to Tell Cubic Zirconia from Diamond

Diamonds are relatively rare in the world. This rarity equates to higher prices and also to a limited number of stones on the market at any one time. Cubic zirconia has become the single most popular alternative to diamonds, due to the lower price of the stones and their amazing similarity to natural diamonds. However, learning how to tell cubic zirconia from diamond can put you in good stead if you're in the market for a real stone.

How do you tell if the stone you're looking at is cubic zirconia or a natural diamond? One of the first things you should look at is the facets of the stone in question. You will need a jeweler's loupe for this, or a microscope. On a true diamond, the facets will be very clean, with a knife-like edge. On a cubic zirconia, the edges of the facets will be more rounded. In addition, facets on a CZ are usually much more uniform than on a natural diamond, due to the need to conserve mass on a natural stone.

Another option in how to tell cubic zirconia from diamond is to weigh two stones of the same size and proportions. Cubic zirconia is 1.6 times heavier than diamond (greater density). Therefore, if your stone seems like a lightweight in comparison to a cubic zirconia, then you probably have a true diamond.

Yet another way in how to tell cubic zirconia from diamond is to check the flaws within the stone. Of course, you'll need a loupe or a microscope for this, as well. If you see tiny flaws and inclusions within the stone, it's pretty likely that you have a real diamond. CZs usually have no flaws at all (or very, very few). Of course, a jeweler can help you make the distinction in a short time, as well.

I also wanted to talk about something. I work for a cleaning service. I found out around six weeks ago that my boss lost the contract at the state office that I clean. This is where most of my hours are at. I had actually been cleaning this building since before this man took over. I had worked for the previous holder of the contract. This man here kept us on when he got the contract.

I've been really stressed out the last six weeks wondering who had gotten the contract. We heard a lot of rumors. We finally found out who got it. I do know the man. I've always had good dealings with him. I just don't know yet whether he plans to keep me and my co-worker on or not. If he does, I also don't know if he will cut our pay and hours.

I definitely don't want to lose this job. I really depend on it. Besides this particular place I clean, I clean a bank for one hour a night. I sure can't live off of one hour a night. I need more hours. I can't afford to lose this cleaning job at the state office. I'm also hoping if he keeps us on that he won't cut our hours or pay. It's been a struggle as it is. It would be even harder on me then. With the economy being in the dumps, it's hard to find other work around here. I know people who have been out of work for a year or more now. There just aren't jobs around. I hate to think of having to try to find something.

I became a big fan of Venetian glass when I visited Italy ten years ago. I was amazed by all the beautiful things that could be made out of glass by these craftsmen.

Recently I saw a post on my friend Colin's blog, Sexy Legs and Body. It had to do with Murano Glass. I was so amazed by all the magnificent products that they have created. I had to check out their site. I'm so glad that I did.

These stunning glass creations are produced through excellent craftsmanship on a small island north of Venice. The glassmakers of Murano became the island's most prominent citizens. They also became highly respected in the Venetian Republic. Murano glass has been revered around the globe for centuries. It's so easy to see why customers around the world for generations have craved Murano glass.

I was looking through their products when I saw this beautiful pair of black Christina earrings. They are so beautiful and elegant. Do you remember the two Heathers of the 1980's? I'm sure any red-blooded male will remember these two sex kittens. I'm speaking of Heather Locklear and Heather Thomas. Every boy I knew at school had a crush on both of these two hot babes. Most boys, however, had a favorite between the two. My favorite was Heather Locklear, while my cousin preferred Heather Thomas. Both of these beautiful television stars played a big role in my adolescence. I still have very fond memories of the two Heathers.

Were any of you a fan of either, or both, of these gorgeous women?

Heather Locklear played on two television shows back in the 1980's, T.J. Hooker and Dynasty. I watched both of them.

Heather Thomas played on The Fall Guy, which starred one of my idols (Lee Majors).

P.S. I'm seeking some advice. I know I've mentioned this before, but I wanted to get some help if I can. I really want to revamp both my blogs. The main thing is that I want to switch up to a three column template. I've looked around, but it's like I can't really find the right code. I see people around with some really cool looking blogs that have three columns. I'd love to still be able to use a blog header like the one I've got on this and my other blog. All the templates I find don't seem to let me use a header at all. Anybody have any suggestions at all? Do you know of or have a template code that I could use on this and my other blog? I would greatly appreciate any help at all. I'm not a tech whiz at all so I usually have trouble with this sort of thing. Thanks so much. You're the best.

French actress Marion Cotillard is featured on the cover of the July issue of Vogue. There is also a beautiful editorial of her within the pages of the magazine. I definitely wanted to share these photos (by Mario Testino) with you. Not long ago I got a chance to see Marion in Nine. I loved her performance. She was one of the best things about the film. She won the Best Actress Oscar a few years back for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in La vie en rose. Marion is truly beautiful, talented & stylish. She's another example of why I adore French women so much.

Kristen Stewart Is So Bella & Beyond

Kristen Stewart, 20, has been acting for over a decade now. It's definitely the hugely successful Twilight franchise that has made her a bona fide star. The newest film in the series, Eclipse, opens on June 30th. The first movie I ever saw Kristen in was Panic Room where she played the daughter of Jodie Foster. I've seen her in several films, besides the Twilight movies, over the years. I want to see The Runaways, in which she played Joan Jett, when it hits DVD.

Kristen is very beautiful and talented. I really like her style and attitude. I know I'm old enough to be her dad, but I find her hot. Kristen is at least legal though. She's one of the young stars of today that I have a crush on. I know there are plenty of people who love her, while there are others that don't see the fascination with her. Kristen is featured in the American version (photos by Carter Smith) of Elle for their June issue and British Elle (photos by Matthias Vriens McGrath) for their July issue. I hope you enjoy them. One of the women of today that I'm so obsessed with is Christina Hendricks. She's reason enough to watch the amazing series Mad Men. Christina is definitely a goddess among women. She's like some red headed goddess come down to live amongst us mere mortals. I would definitely worship at her altar. She so oozes sultry sexiness. I guess you can tell how much I love this woman. Naomi Campbell Is Fierce & I Like That

When you think of supermodels, Naomi Campbell has to be one of those at the top of your list. Naomi was born on May 22, 1970 in London, England. Her mother is of Afro-Jamaican descent, while her father is of Chinese Jamaican descent. Her father left soon after Naomi's birth. Her mother had traveled throughout Europe with a dance troupe over the years. Naomi began to study ballet as a young girl.

Naomi became a model while still in her teens. She appeared on the cover of Elle when she was only 15. She was the first black model to appear on the covers of many magazines, including Vogue Paris. Naomi has often talked about the racism and discrimination that she has faced over the years in the fashion world. She talks about how it still exists to this day.

She has been on the cover of over 100 magazines. Her career has stretched beyond just the catwalk, print ads, commercials, etc. Naomi has appeared in quite a few music videos, including George Michael's Freedom and Madonna's Erotica. She has also appeared in movies, documentaries & television shows. She has even had a music career as well.

Naomi is still out there, working it to this day. She is still very beautiful and stunning after twenty years in the biz. Naomi's somebody who definitely tells it like it is. She's not afraid to be the woman she is, whether society likes it or not. Naomi does often get herself into quite a bit of trouble. You definitely don't want to get her mad because she might throw her phone at you.

She has helped open many doors for other black models. She deserves a lot of credit for that. Plus Naomi does do a lot of work for charity that often doesn't get recognized. She is quite a striking beauty. There's no denying that at all. Whether you like her or not, I know there are many people who can't stand her, I do hope you will give her the proper credit. Penelope Cruz Steams Up Interview Magazine

I have a huge crush on Penelope Cruz. My sister is always picking on me about it. I am so in love with this Spanish beauty. Her film Nine has just hit DVD. I never got a chance to see it when it was out at the theater, but I am definitely wanted to see it. I finally saw it last weekend. I loved it. I thought it was an amazing film.

Penelope has really been on a roll the last few years with films such as Volver, Vicky Cristina Barcelona (which she won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for), Broken Embraces, etc. She's co-starring in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Penelope is also in a relationship with Oscar winner Javier Bardem. This photo shoot is from the January 2010 issue of Interview magazine. These are definitely different from the usual photos I've seen of Penelope. What do you think? Do you like these or not? I prefer the color photos over the black & white ones. Mila Kunis is probably best known for her role on the long-running series That '70s Show. She has been seen in films such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall and The Book of Eli. She had a small part in the comedy hit Date Night. Mila will be seen later this year starring with Natalie Portman in Black Swan. I find Mila incredibly beautiful. She is so smokin' hot. What Is Going On With Jennifer Lopez?

Jennifer Lopez recently did a photo shoot with the British edition of Marie Claire. She's back focusing on her career after taking time off after having twins. Her latest movie, The Back-Up Plan, has hit theaters. While my sister enjoyed it, it doesn't look like it's going to be a blockbuster. There are conflicting stories about what happened with her exit from her recording contract with Epic Records. There was poor reception to her latest single. Her last few movies before her pregnancy weren't really heating up the box office either. She has been on a downturn with her music and film career. Can she make a comeback or not? What do you guys think? She's still beautiful and stylish. I think she looks amazing. I do wish her the best. I've seen some of her past movies and had a good time watching them. Sugar & Spice Is Back In Business

It's been quite some time since I've posted on my blog. I'm finally ready to start back blogging. While I did enjoy my time away, I have missed blogging and all my friends here. I did need the rest and the time to concentrate on certain goals I wanted to accomplish. I have been able to achieve some of the things I wanted to do during my hiatus. Some of the other items I am still currently working on.

When I took my break, I wasn't really sure how long I would be away. I had figured at most that I might be gone for six weeks to two months. I never would have imagined I would have been away this long. I heard from quite a lot of people who did miss this blog, as well as my other blog, and wondered when I was coming back. I was never quite sure. I think I got burned out and overwhelmed with my blogs. It got to be where it felt like a job. It just got to a point where I felt stressed out.

There are going to be some changes. One of the biggest changes will be in the amount of postings I do. Before I was doing a post every weekday, but I won't be doing that this time around. One thing is that I don't want to feel the stress and tension I felt before. Plus I no longer have internet access at my house. I don't have the time and so forth these days to do that many posts. I plan to do around two posts per week. They will generally be posted on Mondays and Wednesdays. They will probably be posted around 9AM Eastern Standard Time. Some weeks I might only do one post on this blog, while other weeks I might do three. Two will be the normal amount for this blog though. The same goes for my other blog as well, which I'm renaming Coolness Is Timeless.

While my blog originally focused mostly on my favorite hot babes of the 60's/70's, I want to mix it up more this time around. There will be more posts about the beautiful bombshells of Classic Hollywood. I also want to post more about a lot of the sexy girls of today that I adore. I want to share my love of the gorgeous ladies from the worlds of music, movies, television, fashion, you name it. You'll see posts on everybody from Raquel Welch to Jessica Biel. I have a lot of retro interests, but I also embrace the best of our modern times as well. I want to try to find the right balance between the past and the present.

This blog is a work in progress. This is a time of evolution for this blog. I'm really excited about the future here. I've got some great ideas about what I want to do here. I can't wait to start having fun again. I do hope that all my readers from before will return to read my blog. I've missed all of you. I am sorry for going away so long. I also hope that you will enjoy what I do with this blog. I know things are going to be different now, but I do hope you will stick around. Thanks for all your support, encouragement, friendship, etc. I have appreciated all of it so much. Cheers!

Happy New Year From Sugar & Spice, Plus A Big Announcement!

Happy New Year! I hope that everybody will have a fantastic time ringing in 2010. I do hope that all of you who celebrated Christmas had a wonderful time this year.

I'm still without a cable modem. I've been doing a lot of soul searching lately, plus I've been talking to my sister. We've decided to give up the internet at our house for the time being. Money is really tight right now. It doesn't seem to be getting any better any time soon. We are giving up both our high speed internet and our digital cable service. We are just going to keep basic cable. That will save us some money every month. We are always looking for way to cut expenses.

I am putting this and my other blog on hiatus for the time being. I had been mulling doing this anyway before the situation with the cable modem arose. The modem dying just sealed it for me.

I've got a lot of things I want to try to work on in 2010. The last few years of my life have been rather rocky. Plus I will turn 40 in 2010. That's one of those milestone birthdays. There are some goals I'm setting for myself that I want to accomplish in this year.

I really want to get back into shape. I've gained a lot of weight over the last few years. When I'm stressed out, I eat a lot. I've been stressed out so much due to work and other factors. I want to start eating better and working out again.

I also want to try to find another job this year. It's not getting any better at work. I'm thankful that I've got a job when so many others are still out of work. I still would like to figure out something else to do. I'm not getting the hours or the pay I was a few years back. It's been a real struggle.

I want to work on my spiritual life as well. I'm not sure if it's because I'm getting older or what, but I've been thinking about spiritual matters a lot lately. I plan to start going to a house of worship in a few weeks. I want to work on my relationship with God. Plus it will give me a chance to be part of some community and something greater than myself.

I have so much enjoyed doing both my blogs. I've had a lot of fun. I've meet a lot of great people. I'm going to miss it. But I feel like I need to take this break for now so I can concentrate on some other areas of my life. Blogs tend to take so much time and energy. I need to focus that instead on improving my life. I'm not saying I'll never come back. I may be back in a month or it could be six months or more. I'm not sure. Thanks so much for all the support and friendship you've all given me since I starting blogging. It means the world to me. I care about you guys a lot.

I'll be able to get on the internet a few times a week at my grandmother's. I plan to keep my pages on Facebook and MySpace. For those that I'm friends with on either, we can keep in touch there. If you are on either of those and we are not friends yet, I hope that you will become my friend. I do want to stay in touch.

I hope all of you will understand what's going on. Please don't be upset with you. This is just something I need to do. My sister Stephanie is taking a break from her blog Chic Femme as well. I'm not sure how long her break will be. It could be shorter or longer than mine. She's working on getting into graduate school.

They Just Don't Make Supermodels Like They Once Did

That is a photo from 1990 of Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Tatjana Patitz, Christy Turlington & Cindy Crawford. I always loved the supermodels of that era. It's great to see so many of the models of the 1980's/1990's out there again in commercials and print ads.

They just don't make models like this anymore. These girls actually had bodies. Plus they had personalities of their own. So many of the models out there today seem like skinny mindless zombies.

I had a huge crush on so many of them. Did any of you have a favorite supermodel from back then? Mine was Christy Turlington. I plan to start posting more pictures of all of these supermodels and many more in the future.

Zoe Saldana Is Out Of This World

Zoe Saldana was born in New Jersey on June 19, 1978 to a Dominican father and a Puerto Rican mother. She grew up in the Dominican Republic, but returned to the United States during high school. Zoe's credits include Crossroads (2002), Drumline (2002), Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Guess Who (2005), etc. She is probably most well known now as Uhura in the new Star Trek franchise. I'd love to fly around the universe on a starship with her. Zoe's next film is the long awaited new film from James Cameron called Avatar.

Edwige Fenech: Both Then & Now

I wanted to share some photos of the incredibly gorgeous Edwige Fenech. She appeared in many Italian films (everything from giallo thrillers to sex comedies) from the 1970's into the 1980's. She then transitioned more to television and has become a successful producer over the years. This first set of photos would be from the days of her acting career. I find Edwige to be one of the most beautiful and stunning women in the world.

Quentin Tarantino asked Edwige Fenech to make an appearance in Eli Roth's 2007 film Hostel II. Edwige played an art class professor in a cameo in the movie. It was her first acting role in quite some time. She had been on the other side of the camera for many years by this time as a producer. I think she looks fantastic in these photos. She would have been almost 60 by this time. Eli Roth's one lucky devil. I would have directed this movie for free if I had a chance to work with a goddess like Edwige Fenech.

Take A Look At Gabrielle Union

One of the actresses of today that I am so in love with is Gabrielle Union. It's been great seeing her on ABC's FlashForward. I just wish they would feature her a lot more on the show. Gabrielle has been quite busy over the last decade making movies.

Gabrielle, 37, started modeling as a way to pay off her college student loans and so forth. It wasn't too long before she was doing episodic work on television, such as Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, 7th Heaven, Smart Guy & Sister, Sister. Her first big film role was opposite Kirsten Dunst in Bring It On (2000). Gabrielle then starred on the CBS medical drama City of Angels for two seasons. She landed the leading female role in Deliver Us From Eva which also starred L.L. Cool J in 2003. She has continued to find steady work over the years in both television and film. Some of her film credits include Two Can Play That Game (2001), Cradle 2 the Grave (2003), Bad Boys II (2003), Daddy's Little Girls (2007), Cadillac Records (2008), etc. She's appeared on the television shows Friends, The West Wing, Night Stalker, Ugly Betty, Life, etc.

I don't cover a lot of today's female stars here, but I do like to take a look at them from time to time. Gabrielle Union is definitely one to check out. Anybody else here a fan of hers? I hope you enjoy these pictures I'm posing. I think she's incredibly beautiful and sexy.

P.S. I do hope all my fellow Americans had a great Thanksgiving weekend. Mine was fantastic. I hate to see it come to an end. I did want to let everybody know that I'm making some changes here at the blog. I've talked with some friends about this before I made this decision. I will more than likely not be leaving comments anymore here at my blog in response to the comments you leave.

When I was only getting a couple of comments, it was easy to leave comments here and then visit the blogs of others to leave comments there as well. Now that I'm getting a lot more comments at both my blogs, it's gotten to where it's taking so much time that I don't really have. I love doing it, but it's very time consuming. I know that a lot of people who get lots of comments don't leave responses in their own comment section, so I'm definitely not alone in this. I will be visiting each of your blogs and leaving comments there like I always have. If there's a reason to leave feedback in my own comment section, then I'll do it. Otherwise I just won't be usually doing that much anymore.

I hope you all understand. I don't think it should be a problem with anybody. I had been mulling this for quite some time, but had put it off. This is my first week of trying it out. I did want to let all of you know. I'm not sure if any of you had really been checking back to see if I leave comments in my comment section or not. That way you will know what's going on. I first saw these pictures on the ultra fab blog Slacker Chic. I couldn't wait until my issue of GQ actually came in the mail. GQ has selected Leighton Meester, one of the stars of Gossip Girl, as their obsession of the year. I can totally see why. I'm obsessed with Leighton myself. She's one of the girls today that I'm totally crushing on. These pictures of her are so incredibly not. I hope you enjoy them too.

Edy Williams Has One Smokin' Hot Body

Edy Williams is a model and actress. She did a lot of guest spots on television during the 1960's, such as The Beverly Hillbillies, Batman, Lost in Space, etc. She appeared in films such as The Naked Kiss and Good Times. Edy would play in Russ Meyer's camp class Beyond the Valley of The Dolls in 1970. They would marry soon after. Edy and Russ worked together again on film. She would also pose for a Playboy spread that Meyer shot. The couple divorced before the end of the decade. Edy would continue to make movies throughout the 1980's.

She definitely doesn't mind taking her clothes in many of her films. I'm definitely happy about that. Besides finding her very beautiful, I do think she's a wonderful actress.

I know very little about French Pussycat. I do know I love that poster. Wow! This movie was released in 1972. It stars Sybil Danning as a woman who believes she can get a sex columnist playboy to propose marriage to her before they've ever had sex. She gets a job working for him as his maid. She walks around half naked flirting with him. She's driving him crazy with lust and desire, but she no't give it all up to him. That's pretty much all I know. Anybody ever seen this? I do love Sybil Danning, so I would love to see this.

Stephanie Beacham Meets Dracula In The Groovy 1970's

I actually first saw Stephanie Beacham on The Colbys and Dynasty. It was at some point after that when I was making my way through all the Hammer movies starring Christopher Lee as Dracula. It was when I came to 1972's Dracula A.D. 1972 (click on the title to be able to watch the whole movie online) that I discovered Stephanie had been a Hammer babe at one time. This film was Hammer's updating of the Dracula franchise into a modern setting. Stephanie played Jessica Van Helsing, the granddaughter of Abraham Van Helsing.

It is based on the vampire novella Carmilla. The movie is quite daring for its depiction of lesbianism. It's one of my favorite movies done by Hammer Films.

Tyra Banks On Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Covers

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue was one of my first chances as a boy to marvel at the beauty of the female body. I grew up mostly seeing the issues from the 1980's. I loved those sexy covers and photos inside. I do want to post some of those in the future up here. I'm posting today about two of my favorite issues of the 1990's. These covers featured Tyra Banks, who made history as the first African-American to appear solo on a cover. Tyra has gone on to a very successful career on television with both America's Next Top Model and The Tyra Banks Show. These are two very beautiful covers. I hope you enjoy them.
