Soledad Miranda's Got A Gun

I told my girlfriend that this guy was giving me some trouble at work. She decided to take matters into her own hands. I had no idea this is what she meant.

soledad

Seriously though. That's Soledad Miranda in the 1971 Jess Franco film
The Devil Came From Akasava. She's credited in the film as Susann Korda. This movie could be considered to be a Franco contribution to Euro-Spy genre. A certain stone is discovered that can turn metal into gold, but also has the effect of turning humans into zombies. It seems everybody wants this stone. Secret agents are sent in on a mission to retrieve it. This is actually one of my favorite Jess Franco films. It's got all the hallmarks of a Franco film that his fans love and his critics hate. The sexy beauty of Soledad Miranda is on full display here. I could watch that women for hours and hours. Tragically she was killed in a car accident soon after filming was completed on this film.

Check out the trailer to get a better idea of what this movie is all about:

Hey Metal. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's been a long time since I've seen this one. I wanna watch it again. I've been trying to see all the movies of hers I can. Yeah, she can be brutal. But she's definitely beautiful.

Right on, Keith--I've never even heard of this one, but I've discovered so far that Franco+Soledad Miranda is a good combo. I'll have to seek this one out.

Soledad was the definition of a black magic woman - something always a bit dark and mysterious about her. Great post!

Thanks Gil. I love the way you described her. I couldn't say it any better. She's something special.
