From The New York Times:
Farrah Fawcett, an actress and television star whose good looks and signature flowing hairstyle influenced a generation of women and bewitched a generation of men, beginning with a celebrated pinup poster, died Thursday morning in Santa Monica, Calif. She was 62 and lived in West Los Angeles.Farrah was definitely an iconic figure of the 1970's. She will be sorely missed. I hope you like these pictures I'm posting in memory of this beautiful and talented star.
Her death, at St. John’s Health Center, was caused by anal cancer, which she had been battling since 2006, said her spokesman, Paul Bloch.
P.S. I did a post about the death of Michael Jackson over at my Dino Lounge blog if you wanna check it out and leave me some comments there. Thanks.

RiP Farrah and Michael, apparently she was every teenage boy's dream in the 70's.
Hey Amy. It's sad about both their deaths. I think most boys had a crush on her back then. I know I did.
Great tribute post dear Keith, such a strange and sad day.
Great pictures of THE icon of the 70's... Plaid Stallions said it best on his blog that GenXers have lost their Marylin Monroe. :-(
Thanks Gabbi. It is quite a sad day.
Hey Gil. Thanks. That's true. I had someone mention that today that she was the ultimate sex icon after Monroe. Just think about how many boys had that poster of her on their walls.
I adored here. Definitely one of my icons. This is such a sad day. XO
RIP Angel
I have fond memories of her in Charlie's Angels! Now she is a real Angel! RIP.
Shame. Poor thing, I hope she wasn't in too much pain and was comfortable. She was the "it" girl when I was very very little.
Such a shame she was THE seventies poster girl..
Hey Liz. She's definitely an iconic figure of pop culture. I remember reading that girls wanted to be her and boys wanted to date her. I think that was so true.
Thanks Carlotta.
Hey Mirko. Thanks for your comments. I appreciate them.
Hey Sam. Thanks. Yeah, when I was a little kid she was a pop culture phenomenon. She's at peace now. It's such a shame she had been through so much.
Hey Dave. Thanks. I remember an older cousin of mine had that famous poster.
It's so sad to lose an Angel like Farrah.
Very sad indeed. She was such an icon in the 1970's, Im sure every young man had 'THAT' bikini poster on their wall. Shame she went down the plastic surgery route, speaking of which, sad news about Michael Jackson too, not that I was a fan of his in recent years but there is no denying as a child he was amazing X
Hey K&S. Yeah, it truly is.
Hey Vintage. Thanks. Great hearing from you. It was a shame about Farrah. She was definitely a sex symbol. She's an icon in pop culture. I posted about MJ on my other blog. I did like a lot of his music, but there were other singers I liked better.
This is a really nice tribute, Keith. She will certainly be missed. I will always have fond memories of her wonderful performance in Robert Altman's DR. T AND THE WOMEN. A flawed film to be sure, but she was quite good in it.
Hey J.D. Thanks. I'm glad you liked my tribute. I definitely want to post something. She's such an icon. How could I do a blog about the beautiful women of the 60's and 70's and not cover this. She was beautiful and talented.
Such untimely deaths of two legends yesterday. They were both special entertainers. So sad.
Terribly sad news. Remember first seeing Farrah in Charlies Angels, back in the mists of time, and joined the army of young males who tuned in every week. She'll be badly missed, but now free from pain. RIP
Hey Deana. Thanks. It was a shock to lose both of them on the same day.
Hey Steve. Thanks. I first remember Farrah from Charlie's Angels. I had a crush on her from the beginning. It's sad that she's gone now, but at least she is free from the pain and misery.
She will be missed. As will Michael. Thanks for this tribute Keith.
rip farrah... she was the hottest in the orig charlie's angels
Hey Matt. Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. I had to do something for Farrah.
Hey Pop. Thanks. I was actually more of a Jaclyn Smith fan, but I did love Farrah.
hello again keith - thanks so much for dropping by my place and leaving a note - just fyi, i saw an absolutely lovely totally moving documentary last night on farrah's life - very well done - closely followed her days subsequent to the cancer diagnosis - and her courageous battle - hope you've a great weekend - do come by again soon! jenean
that's a great tribute Keith thanks for sharing!
Hey Jenean. You are very welcome. I enjoy your blogs. I plan to visit them again. I hope you'll stop by mine again too. I had heard of that doc, but I hadn't seen it yet. I'm sure it was very moving. I am still really sad over her death, but I know she's at peace now. Take care.
Thanks Mrs. M, I'm so glad you liked it.
Such a shame. So talented and beautiful. She will be missed.
Thanks Son. I totally agree with you.
Gorgeous and talented. She was absolutely amazing.
Thanks Dapper Kid. I appreciate your comments.
She always had a great smile.
She definitely did, Phoebe.
Great pics of Farrah that was her hey days! Sorry she and Ryan Oneal didn't get to walk down the aisle.
Hey Kandi. Thanks. Glad you liked these photos. I was sorry that her and Ryan didn't get a chance to tie the knot.
I'm so sorry to hear of her death. May she rest in peace what a beauty. I feel for her lover O'Neal and for her son and family.
Hey Mel. Thanks. I appreciate that. I felt so sad when she passed away. At least she's at peace now. My condolences do go out to all her loved ones.
