Stephanie Beacham Meets Dracula In The Groovy 1970's

I actually first saw Stephanie Beacham on The Colbys and Dynasty. It was at some point after that when I was making my way through all the Hammer movies starring Christopher Lee as Dracula. It was when I came to 1972's Dracula A.D. 1972 (click on the title to be able to watch the whole movie online) that I discovered Stephanie had been a Hammer babe at one time. This film was Hammer's updating of the Dracula franchise into a modern setting. Stephanie played Jessica Van Helsing, the granddaughter of Abraham Van Helsing.

I think I'll be vampire for halloween. But just realised looking at these that I don't have a cape.

Nice pics, Keith. Dracula A.D. 1972 is one of my fave Hammer films... that and SATANIC RITES OF DRACULA... for that swingin' hipster vibe... heh.

I always loved her. This was a good movie. I remember her also from 90210 besides her role as Sable Colby.

He has an eye for London's hot pants? Nice. Haha.

I will definitely check out your sis's blog now. :)

I never saw those primetime soaps, but I do remember her from 90210 as Dylan's mom.

Hey Juliet. Being a vampire would be a good idea. You could still be a vamp without a cape.

Hey J.D. I know what you mean. I love it when they brought Dracula more into the modern era. Those were some groovy movies.

Haha it turns out I'm already a fan of your sister's blog. :) I just figured the titles were similar...it's good to know blogging talent runs in the family! That's awesome!

Hey Phoebe. Oh yeah. She was on 90210 as Dylan's mother. I didn't even think to mention that.

Hey Jennifer. Glad you enjoyed this post. This was the movie where they brought Dracula into the modern era.

That's cool that you are also commenting on my sister's blog. I appreciate it. I'm glad you like our blogs. It's always great to hear from you. I hope you enjoy the vampire post my sister did on hers today.

Hey Wolf. Yeah. The soaps were back in the 80's. Aaron Spelling did them and also 90210.

It's a great movie, filmed in and around the King's Road in Chelsea - I reworked the poster for my last year's Halloween mix - Mondo Mania

I love this movie. Not that this is a great movie but with Lee, Cushing, Beacham and Caroline Munroe all in one movie well you've got to like it as a cultfan although the story is very weak and drags on and on and on. You can see the whole movie here:

Hey Dave. That's so cool. I'd love to be able to visit some of the sites that my favorite movies are filmed at. I'll check out that link.

Hey Mirko. Thanks for the link. I'll have to add it into the post. It's not a great movie by a long shot, but it's got an awesome cast.

She looks terrific. I love all variations of Dracula movies. That movie poster is hilarious though, especially the caption with the 'hot pants'... haha. Oh, and I'll definitely check out your sis' blog. Hope you're having a great week so far!

Hey Haute. Thanks. I love Dracula movies. These with Christopher Lee were awesome. It was neat when they brought the Dracula story up into our times. Dracula meets the groovy 70's. I appreciate you checking out my sister's blog.

Oh, Thanks buddy!!! :) Love Christopher Lee. I have no idea about the girl, but Chris is too cool for school or maybe too cool for the crypt!!! Halloween humor I just couldn't help myself. :)

Hey Mrs M. I love Stephanie Beacham's hair in this. I am so glad you enjoy my sister Stephanie's blog.

Hey Steph. Thanks for commenting. Surprised you commented on this one. The only thing you might have ever seen her on was 90210. She played Dylan's mom up there. She played on primetime soaps during the 80's. This was a cool movie. I like that pic of her with Christopher.
