Tamara Dobson was a model and actress. She is best known for her role in the blaxploitation films Cleopatra Jones (1973) and Cleopatra Jones & the Casino of Gold (1975). She passed away in 2006 of complications from pneumonia and multiple sclerosis.
I'm posting the movie trailer for Cleopatra Jones as well as a tribute video in honor of Tamara Dobson.

Hi Keith, I LOVE Tamara Dobson as "Cleopatra Jones". When I was a little boy I stayed one weekend with my grandparents. During the commercials they showed the trailer for the first film. Whaw, my imagination went into overdrive! I was to young to see the movie in the theater but my mind made a complete movie from the trailer untill I finally years later could see the complete film. Untill this day I love the two movies. Sadly Mrs Dobson passed away and did not make any more good movies in her Cleopatra Jones movie days! Have a great weekend! I would only have been like 2 or 3 when this movie came out. I saw it years later on video for the first time. I did really like your blog post. I thought it was cool the way you based that post around them. I do that sorta thing here and at my other blog. It's fun to use pics to make up some sort of story.

I have to confess, I don't know much Blaxploitation. I intend to change that and learn about the "darker side" of exploitation. Cleopatra Jones looks like a good place to start!
