With the release of the latest Bond adventure Quantum of Solace, I thought it was a great time to post a couple of pictures of the ultimate Bond girl. That is, of course, none other than Ursula Andress. Her role as Honey Ryder in 1962's Dr. No has became the standard for all Bond girls. She is the iconic Bond girl. Her first scene in the film has become one of the most memorable moments in cinematic history. It's been often imitated, but it's never been surpassed. Ursula oozed sexiness beyond mere words. It was like the goddess Venus herself coming to shore. Ursula went on to play in many other films of the 1960's that I've enjoyed, such as 4 For Texas, She, What's New, Pussycat? & Casino Royale. She's one of my favorite sex kittens of that era. I hope you enjoy these pictures.
P.S. My friend Jeremy has got a James Bond in the 1960's poll over at his Moon In The Gutter blog. I hope you'll check it out. You can vote there for your favorite James Bond films of the 1960's. I thought this was a really awesome poll, plus Jeremy's got one of my favorite blogs out there in the blogosphere.

Terrific shots. You summed things up perfectly.
007 contra el satánico Dr. No
Hey Steve. Thanks. Glad you liked it. Ursula is a goddess.
Hey Filomeno. Thanks for the comments. I love this film.
Well put Keith - she is incredible and statuesque but without the skinnymania that happens today
Nice pics. She certainly is one of the most iconic Bond girls, no doubt. I'd be hard-pressed to pick my fave but she would certainly rank right up there. I always had a thing for Carole Bouquet in FOR YOUR EYES ONLY. Wow.
Hey Dave. Thanks. I totally agree. She is the epitome of what I love about the hot babes of the 60's.
Hey J.D. Thanks for the comments. I think that when people think of the Bond girl they think of Ursula. There are plenty of other Bond girls I love. Some of my other favorite are Daniela Bianchi (From Russia with Love) and Claudine Auger (Thunderball). I do love Carole Bouquet. For Your Eyes Only was actually the first Bond film I saw.
Hey Keith,
Thanks for the nice words and link to my poll. Much appreciated! And thanks for these shots of Ursula, one of the most beautiful women in screen history.
Hey Jeremy. You are very welcome. That's what friends are for. I'm glad you enjoyed those pics of Ursula. I definitely agree with you there. Cheers!
Wasn't she married to John Derek at the time she was in Dr. No?
Great pictures Keith.
Glenn Bishop
Hey Glenn. Thanks. Glad you liked the pics. Yeah, she was married to John Derek at that time. They were married about ten years.
Fue gran amiga de Novella Parigi
Thanks. Cheers!
