Get Steamy With Emmanuelle

It's time for some erotic cinema here at Sugar & Spice. We will be watching Emmanuelle in our private screening room. That would be cool, wouldn't it? :-) I've always loved this poster. It's such an iconic image to me. The poster is sexy, but not sleazy.

Same here! This movie is etched into my mind from a time and society long gone! I can even remember seeing the lobby card at the cinema in my town as a young boy and wondering what forbidden things went on in that movie! Keith, thanks for that beaufiful poster I have never seen of this movie! It shows that with very little you can creat a whole atmosphere and be very suggestive! Do you know if this was a teaser? It looks like it because there is no mention of Sylvia Kristel on it???

Hey Mirko. Thanks for the comments. That's cool that you actually remember seeing the lobby card in your local cinema. This movie does give so many of us good memories. It does remind us of a time that's disappeared now. This poster does show that it doesn't take a lot to convey a message. I really like it a lot. I'm not sure if it's a teaser or not. I assume that's what it is. It gives you wondering what this movie is all about.

I've never seen that before great - isn't there an Italian series of Emmanuelle films as well slightly horror based if I remember?

Hey Dave. Thanks for the comments. At least now you've seen this poster. There have been so many Emmanuelle movies over the years. The Italian ones have like only one "m" in the title. They starred Laura Gemser.

Nice poster. I love this film. My husband and I watched it again very recently. They just don't make them like this anymore.

Thanks Phoebe. Glad you enjoyed this movie. It is a good movie to watch with that special someone. ;-)

What else can I add that hasn't been said - this was a great early 80s cable staple. Great one sheet - dig the design.

Poster is très sexy!

Keith said...

Hey Lenore. Yeah, that's it. The French know how to make these kinds of movies. :-)
