I love the French erotic film Emmanuelle (1974) starring Sylvia Kristel. When I think of European erotic cinema of the 1970's, this is the first film that comes to mind. It's a beautiful and intoxicating film in my opinion. I'm not just saying that because of the nudity either. :-) Plus I really love the theme song by Pierre Bachelet. Sylvia Kristel might not have been the first woman to come to mind when someone thought of Emmanuelle, but she owns that role. This film dealt with the sexual awakening of Emmanuelle. Sylvia embodied the role so well.
P.S. I want to wish everybody a Happy Valentine's Day! I hope that you and your significant other will have a fun weekend no matter how you choose to celebrate. I had a girlfriend last year at this time, but I'm flying solo this year.

I don't remember much of it... but this movie I have seen 1975-76.
Keith, you sure know how to pick some beauteous ladies for posting. This staple of early 80s cable tv still merits attention.
Great Great films and those wicker chairs everywhere
Hey Sid. Thanks for the comments. I watched the first two movies again not that long ago. I still loved them.
Hey Scott. Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. These films were some of the first to open my eyes to women.
Hey Wolfmen. Thanks for the comments. Glad you like the movies. I dig those wicker chairs.
I have seen this film, but not any of the sequels. This and Jackie Collins novels were some of my first exposure to the world of sex.
Hey Phoebe. That's how I was. This, Jackie Collins & mags like (Playboy, Penthouse, etc.) were what really opened up my eyes.
I, too, immediately think of Emmanuelle whenever the topic of movies that feature Europeans fornicating in exotic locations comes up.
You gotta love the magazine-based cameo by Paul Newman.
Oh, and yeah, the theme song rocks.
Hey Yum-Yum. Thanks for the comments. It was nice hearing from you. Glad we are on the same wavelength with this film and the music. Have a great weekend. Cheers!
First woman I ever saw naked onscreen...
Hey Ben. She's definitely not a bad one to start off with.
