The Vampire Lovers
The Vampire Lovers is a Hammer horror movie from 1970. The film is about a sexy vampire, played by Ingrid Pitt, who preys on Emma (Madeline Smith) and other beautiful young women. It is based on the vampire novella Carmilla. The movie is quite daring for its depiction of lesbianism. It's one of my favorite movies done by Hammer Films.

Yes I'm biased. I like vampires. Lesbian vampires fascinate most of human society in some deep dark place, you think? And who cares if they don't. Great obscure find.

Just love those movie posters. The Vampire Lovers made a big impression on me when I caught it at the cinema. While I loved Ingrid, it was Kate O'Mara who was number one in my book. Incredibly sexy and a big hit on UK TV in subsequent years.
