Julie Newmar Is Still The Purr-fect Catwoman
Julie Newmar was the first actress to play Catwoman on the campy 1960's Batman series. While other actresses have played the part since then, no actress has embodied Catwoman as purr-fectly as Julie Newmar. I got a huge crush on her from the first time I ever saw her. She was always incredibly sexy in that skin-tight costume. I find her so alluring and seductive. Heck, I would have jumped at the chance to assist Catwoman in her criminal pursuits. I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. Even Bruce Wayne/Batman had a thing for her. You could cut the sexual tension between these two with a knife. When I think of Catwoman, I'll always think of Julie Newmar first and foremost. Nobody could play a feline vixen quite like her. Enjoy the pictures.

Julie Newmar, Raquel Welch and Bo Derek. They were there in those early days when I first discovered what all the fuss was about when it came to females.

I agree Julie Newmar made a great Catwoman on the Batman TV show. I remember the show being on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
I was in 3rd grade and it is as fun and entertaining today as it was back then.

Yeah, Newmar is still, hands down, THE best Catwoman. No question. And it's not just that she looked the part (altho, that certainly helps!) but she also inhabited the role with that voice of hers and how she delivered her lines. Awesome.
Hey J.D. Thanks for the comments. I know what you mean. She definitely looked the part. She was beautiful, plus she looked hot in that costume. She also embodied Catwoman. She got the voice, mannerisms, etc. right where they should be for this role.
Just remembered - I used to have a View Master (remember them?) that featured a Julie Newmar episode of Batman, made everything look 3D
Hey. That's cool. Yeah, I had a View Master myself. I loved those things. I do remember that I had some Batman ones. Not sure if it featured Catwoman or not.

Julie, Michelle, and Eartha really did justice to the Catwoman role. I think with Halle the plot was just wrong.
